Sleep Number Showcases Connection between Sleep and Performance
at
Super Bowl LIV in Miami

NFL’s sleep and wellness partner to host scheduled programming in the media center surrounding the topic of sleep and its effect on athlete performance

WHAT: 

Sleep Number and the NFL have established the most comprehensive, league-wide sleep program in professional sports since 2018. Today, more than 2,000 active players have purchased a Sleep Number 360 smart bed, and the NFL and NFLPA continue to prioritize quality sleep as critical element to athlete health and wellness. 

In the days leading up to Super Bowl LIV, conversations around athlete and team preparation, health and performance will be a big focus. At the NFL Media Center in Miami, Sleep Number will bring a number of resources to media covering the NFL that will help illustrate the central role sleep plays in player performance.

Media attending Super Bowl LIV in Miami can visit the Sleep Number Sleep and Performance Center in the media center for more information and interviews with:

  • NFL players who can discuss the role sleep plays in their performance routine.
  • NFL trainers and performance experts who can discuss how the NFL, teams and players are modernizing their performance and recovery routines with sleep at the center.

Sunday, January 26:

  • 12-1 p.m.: Sleep Number and GENYOUth will host an education event with Florida students, joined by Miami Dolphin’s Linebacker Mike Hull

Monday, January 27:

  • 10 a.m.-1p.m.: James Collins, Director of Football/Medical Services of the Los Angeles Chargers and President of Professional Football Athletic Trainer’s Society is available for interviews to discuss how the NFL is modernizing players training programs with sleep and wellness at the center.  

Tuesday, January 28: 

  • 8-10 a.m. Olympic Gymnast and Gold Medalist Shawn Johnson and NFL player NFL long snapper Andrew East will do a live-taping of their hit podcast “Couple Things”
  • 9 a.m.-12 p.m.: James Collins, director of football/medical services for the Los Angeles Chargers and president of Professional Football Athletic Trainer’s Society is available for interviews to discuss how the NFL is modernizing players training programs with sleep and wellness at the center.  

Wednesday, January 29: 

  • 9-11 a.m.: Minnesota Vikings’ Quarterback Kirk Cousins is available for interviews.
  • 2-4 p.m.: Pro Football HOFer Tony Gonzalez will do a live-taping of his podcast “Wide Open”

Thursday, January 30:
